I had the opportunity to pitch some ideas to the dog rescue charity Hope Rescue to promote the organisation, specifically for the age demographic 16-25 year olds. They wanted interesting visuals that would relate to young people who may not know about the charity or how they could help out.

My Designs for Hope Rescue

The idea for my pitch revolved around Hope Rescue's charity shops as I wanted to bring attention to how people can donate in different ways. Charity shops are also gaining popularity amongst young people as many people are interested in sustainability and avoiding fast fashion; they're often cheap and going 'charity shopping' is now an activity to do with friends for a day out.

As a way to incorporate the dogs, I decided to focus on a tagline of 'There's something for everyone at Hope Rescue' which could relate to dogs in the shelter and to clothes found at their charity shops. I thought it would be fun to illustrate unusual dog pairings (such as a little girl with an Irish wolfhound) with matching clothes to prove that you will always find something you like in a pet, or in an outfit.
